Abstract
In this talk I will introduce my postdoc project "Philosophical reflections on theoretical and experimental immunology", to be conducted in 2022-2023. In the project will illustrate two points: (1) how immunology can contribute to philosophy, using a case study of experimental research on cancer immunology; and (2) how philosophy can contribute to immunology, focusing on the concept of disease tolerance and its potential to help delineate immunity and shed light on puzzling phenomena such as asymptomatic "disease".
