The Makers could be a name for a band, like the Beatles, the Ramones, or the Sex Pistols. But it isn’t. It is the name of an international research initiative in the humanities and arts, that brings together twenty partner organisations from ten countries, including universities, cultural institutions, and NGOs. Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences is proud to be one of them.

We are inviting applications for two postdoctoral research positions under the Czech Academy of Sciences’ Postdoctoral Programme for Excellence – Careers at the Czech Academy of Sciences. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to carry out their own research projects over a two-year period. The proposed research must fall within one of the research areas pursued at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences and align with the scientific focus and research strategy of one of its departments.
