The Institute of Philosophy regularly takes part in the international Open House Festival. This celebration of architecture offers a unique opportunity to explore buildings and spaces that are usually closed to the public. Once a year, visitors can step inside and learn not only about the architecture, but also the history and current use of these spaces.

The aim of the festival is to open up the city’s buildings to everyone—regardless of age, education, or profession—and to present them within broader urban, historical, and cultural contexts, inspiring people to take a deeper interest in the places where they live. For the Institute of Philosophy, the festival is also a chance to introduce our workplace to visitors who may not have known it even existed.

Guided tours of the Institute of Philosophy (Czech Academy of Sciences) take place annually on Saturday during the festival week.
