The purpose of the internal reporting system is to allow our employees and other individuals to confidentially report any unlawful activities that harm or threaten the public interest. As a mandatory entity under the Whistleblower Protection Act (Act No. 171/2023 Coll.), the Institute maintains an internal reporting system for submitting and assessing reports in accordance with the law.
Reporting
A report contains information about a possible unlawful act that:
- Constitutes a criminal offense, or
- Is an offense punishable by a fine of at least CZK 100,000,
- Violates another Czech legal regulation or an EU regulation in legally defined areas,
provided that the act has occurred or is expected to occur at the workplace and that the reporting person (whistleblower) has become aware of it in connection with their work-related activities at the Institute.
The Institute's Responsibilities Under the Law:
- Assessing reports that qualify for identity protection of the whistleblower.
- Reviewing reports from individuals who have worked or are currently working for the Institute in a basic employment relationship, as well as those involved in voluntary work, internships, or professional training.
- Excluding reports from individuals who do not meet the legal criteria for whistleblower protection.
Methods of Reporting
1. Electronically via the reporting application
The electronic reporting platform is a simple, secure application enabling written communication between the whistleblower and the designated contact person.

2. Via email
Reports can be submitted via a secure email address accessible only to the designated person.

3. In writing (physical document)
Reports in paper form can be sent by post to the organization’s correspondence address, marked “To the attention of the designated person”.

5. In person
If requested by the whistleblower, the report can be submitted during a personal meeting with the designated person. This meeting will be arranged within a reasonable timeframe, but no later than 14 days from the request.
