About the project Nature Conservation and Emerging High-Impact (Bio-)Technology (NONA):

By focusing on recent debates about the use of novel biotechnologies, such as engineered gene drives, to achieve nature conservation aims, the project explores the interconnections between normative and scientific ideas in nature conservation and biotechnology research in the life sciences, social sciences and environmental humanities. Based on this analysis, the project develops a conceptual framework to evaluate different conservation interventions.
