For the first time in Central Europe, the Visegrad-France Night of Philosophy will gather in the night of 16-17 June 2016 around 60 philosophers and thinkers from the four countries of Visegrad and from France around the topic "Images, Sciences and Politics". Between 7 PM and 3 AM, at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and within the Fair Trade Palace of Prague National Gallery, you will be able to choose between lectures, debates, concerts, guided tours, readings and films, and make your own program within this very such first festival of philosophy around crucial questions: Should men be enhanced? How is the end of the world told? What are the stakes today of biopolitics? How do politics borrow its metaphors from the body? Why should we think about environment? What do animals say about us? What are bio-ethics? What powers do images have on us? And what are the images shown by our brain?

Night of Philosophy takes place with the support of International Visegrad Fund, French Institute in Paris, French Ministry of Higher Education and Research – PARCECO program and Polish Institute in Prague.
