Scientiae seminar series "History of Scholarship and the Global Imagination", which we are coordinating with Stefano Gulizia and in cooperation with the Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences. We will be hosting our seminar lectures from Turin and Prague each Monday at 16:30 CET starting with 30 September and ending before Christmas on 16 December 2024. Each seminar is planned for roughly one hour with a short introduction followed by a 35-minute paper presentation and 25-minute discussion. 

The first of our presenters will be Barbara Bienias (Institute for the History of Science, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw) who will deliver a paper 'There is no new thing under the Sun': Discussing new astronomy in early modern English almanacs.
