AI Act Workshop | Europe's First Regulation of AI: Ethics, Law and Politics

Organized by the Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague (CETE-P), Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences

Detailed information

In the context of the first-ever legal framework on AI in Europe, CETE-P presents this unique event in which academics come together with business representatives to discuss the most pressing issues connected to this regulation. Why do we need new rules on AI? What are their ethical presumptions and limits? And what opportunities and challenges does this framework create?

Join us to discuss these questions. The event is open to a wide public audience interested in these topics, including academics, students, people from businesses, NGOs, or public administration.

The keynote speaker of the event, Mark Coeckelbergh, is a leading researcher at CETE-P, world-renowned scholar in technology ethics and former member of the European Commission’s High-level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence.
