Strategy of the development of international cooperation and the internationalisation of the Institute of Philosophy of the CAS

The Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v. v. i. (hereinafter only “FLÚ” as the Czech acronym) is a non-university-type research institution, the main mission of which is to contribute to the development of global research in the field of philosophy and related fields. One of the main goals of FLÚ is to ensure that the Czech humanities permanently maintain contact with European and world science and actively help to shape it. It is therefore necessary for the institute to closely cooperate with foreign scientific institutions and universities, to be inspired by good practice there, to systematically support the two-way mobility of scientific employees and to create conditions for the internationalisation of its scientific teams. For the same reasons, it is necessary for the institute to be actively involved in international scientific structures and associations, as well as in European grant schemes.

Strategic priorities of the development of international cooperation and the internationalisation of the FLÚ

1. Long-term cooperation with foreign partners on the basis of concluded contracts on collaboration

2. Larger international projects, the implementation of which will involve several departments of the FLÚ

3. Active participation in international scientific networks as a significant component of the internationalisation of the FLÚ

4. Individual and team mobilities and the associated international exchange of scientific knowledge and experience

5. Support for international publication

6. Support for international grant activities

7. Support for doctoral studies in cooperation with foreign universities

8. Support of the internationalisation of the teams of the FLÚ
