The project aims to reconstruct the methods of inquiry and proof in the scientific works of Galen of Pergamum through the analysis of selected key passages representing the main areas of his medical research (including physiology and pharmacology). Its goal is to provide a clear and systematic account of Galen’s method, both sufficiently general and detailed to serve as a guide to his reasoning in his major treatises.v
